A few years ago I found this video gem on YouTube entitled How Lord of the Rings Should Have Ended. I realize this is old news but perhaps there are some folks out there that have not seen it yet or been exposed to their catalog of hilarious film parodies. The team at HowItShouldHaveEnded is very talented and funny.
As I’ve always been looking for some kind of excuse or segue to link to this video, I figure the news of the new expansion for LOTRO Siege of Mirkwood is good enough reason. Anytime I’m feeling down or I need a good laugh I always play this video.

I found them somewhere on the internet, I did not make them.
On a related note, if you manage to get not TOO excited, you will not be too disappointed by the annoying parts of the early LOTRO experience.
Don’t be in a rush, you can progress in LOTRO without making one bubble of XP, by gaining traits through deeds, questing, crafting, auction house.
But we already talked about the mind numbing loneliness of the Lone Lands already. If they annoy you too much, just head to the North Downs, Nat Wahren and other orc camps are a lot of fun! 🙂
